i need help with a few things that are ticking me off.

1. My transmission I pray is not going out, someone told me i can drain it and refill it. When i engage reverse it will grind sometimes. When I shift into second gear and sometimes third.... it sometimes grinds.... any idea? please no bad news lol I dont think it would be my clutch because it still feels good and not worn down.

2. my short shifter is loose, i went over a speed hump, and my car is lowered and i felt it scrape the shifter,.... can i tighten it? or any ideas?

3. my car makes wierd reving noises when im in neutral any idea?

4. my car is hesitant when starting it up sometime, someone told me a fuel pump but im not sure..


ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATEDD!!!!

 

1) Change the fluid...

2) Check bushings I would say...

3) Your IACV could use cleaning (IACV= Idle Air Control Valve)

4) Try changing spark plugs, atleast that helped me out...

 

Thanks alot dude, im gonna try it out tomorrow.... i hope thats it, i bought a 91 integra ls for 1k with 200+k miles and 100 on the motor.... but it still needs struts axle and some work but other wise im happy... i just hope it is the tranny fluid

 

No problem, I just read a thread where some guy said his 3rd, 4th and reverse grind but it is all good, so you might luck out but just don't abuse your tranny ...

 

Drain your tranny fluid and refill with GM sincro mesh
Check all bushing on the shift linkage and replace if needed!

If that doesn't do the trick, start saving up some money for another tranny.
