Meguiar's Gold Class wax or NXT Wax?
Nxt wax is synthetic where as the gold class is not.
I find the Nxt is a good wax to use in the winter since its easy on/off no matter the condition, in the summer I switch to a full carnauba wax. Such as Meguiars Hi-Tech yellow wax.

There is some debate as to which is better/differences. It is my understanding that if you want to put a little more time between washes/waxes that the GC is the way to go. I used NXT on my Si and I wash it pretty frequently. I would agree with Si_Chris that it will give you it very good shine...just about any Meguiars products will...good choice.
To Si_chris.....do you have a process that you use to wash/remove scratches from your car...it looks damn good.

My roomate just picked up some ICE turtle wax... And honestly out of all the waxes ive used, including the two u mentioned, its the best. But I have a silver car. We noticed on our blue car, it left a little bit of a weird mark, but it went away after u rubbed it for a while.

I have found it at of all places ace hardware before. It's part of there professional series. So it is a little harder to find in stores.

dont' mean to hijack but i don't want to make another thread just to ask this little question....what do you guys prefer for a good polish?
I personally wont touch Meguiars ever again.... after using Eagle One Nano Wax. The difference is insane. My paint shines better with Eagle One and it doesn't wear off as easy. My car would stop beading up after 2 weeks with Meguiars, where Eagle One lasts well over a month.
So if you feel like it, go Eagle One...... you wont be disappointed.
Oh yeah, it doesn't discolor your trim either.

Same here, Hi-Tech yellow is hands down the best product you can apply by hand. I wish I had a picture to show it off.

I first wash, clay bar, then polish, then wax....most of the swirls are gone but not all...they do come back...I do it by hand instead of a buffer.

Gold Class is crap as is NXT, in my opinion. Forget those off-the-shelf waxes and cleansers. If you can buy at Wal-Mart, it's not the best for your car.
Here's what I use with great results.

It all depends on what you want. Meguiars gold class gives a good look initially but every quality diminishes within a week. NXT gives a darker look and lasts slightly longer but still isnt a very good wax. Meguiar's chemists still claims that NXT is there longest lasting wax even over there professional and mirror glaze line waxes. Hi-Tech yellow wax #26 is a great looking wax that has pretty good durability. For the price its a good wax, but definately never my go-to wax. For durability I choose Collinite 845 Insulator wax and for appearance I choose Detailers pride maxwax/pinnacle souveran. Eagle one definately doesnt compare to meguiars in any way. The only thing eagle was has thats decent is there wheel cleaners.
