WHAT CAMS FOR MY EK H22?
I have a 97 ek with a h22a swap and Im looking to get some cams in there. What cams should I got with? I know there are few choices like skunk2, type s, crower, and blox. What do you guys recomend and does anyone have any in their h22?

Thats a silly reply....you can find used S2S1's for like $400 and the performance matches the money spent. I spent ~$1k on my Greddy exhaust and Vibrant header to make just a pinch more power than my Cams. 15whp/9tq was my final # from h/e.

I hear these cams are wicked ...from stock.... to that where do you see more power??...low end torque?

With the JUNs I saw a great 4000-4500 gain and 6800-8200 was insane!!!

I saw good gains with the Crower 2's from 3500+. I am running the crower valve train with an 8100 redline. With a crappy VAFC tune, and a crappy DC header, I made 195whp. That's about 18whp over my stock cams, with bolt ons. Now, I wish I had the ching for a SMSP and S300 tune. I think I'm leaving a lot on the table.

Didn't you do a Full rebulild in between the stock cams and C2's with TypeS slugs?

Oh yeah, you are right Clint, I did. My bad. So that 18whp includes the Type-S slugs, I'm not sure that made that much of a difference though......Still, I know I'm leaving power on the table that I should be getting from a better header, and a decent tune.

Hey, at least you got the car to run with the vafc. I couldn't....not good at least.
1cr point could be a 8-10whp gain...
Either way.....Cams are a great power mod!
