If you've added any slip-on exhaust or more likely full exhaust or done anything to gain performance out of it that could trip the light.

Same thing happened to my bike. If the FI light comes on and flashes the temp the bike will run fine. If it comes on and stays on the bike won't run period. It's a valve cable issue. As you get wear on the bike the cables somehow tense up and don't allow this two-way valve to operate fully. Take it to the dealership and they will fix it in like 15 minutes. It's not a big issue.
I don't entirely know what I'm talking about so sorry if some of that doesn't completely make sense, the gist was go to your dealership.
