Default DeftRacing vs Seibon CF Hood

anyone purchased a hood from Deft racing??

i need a new hood for my newly wrecked 5th gen so i was looking at the Seibon CF Hood. OEM style replacement because by all i've read it's better quality than VIS.
Then i stumbled upon http://www.deftracing.com
and i read the reviews and the claims that they use 4 coats of DUPONT Uv protectant clearcoat that will not turn yellow or fade and so far they seem to have a really good product!
They offer free shipping on seibon hoods also which comes out to $532 which is the cheapest i've found yet!!
and their own hoods are $555 shipped so the extra little bit won't kill me.
I'm looking for quality. Any remarks will be appreciated. I normally post on preludepower but i can't access it from work so i dunno if there's many prelude people on here that might know about these hoods.

any remarks on seibon carbon fibe hoods appreciated also.

Well, I have a 4th gen and have to say Ive yet to see a VIS or SEIBON that fits nicely......I am all about my Fiber Images.
I would be more worried about fitment over finish......you can always paint the hood.

i actually read a couple reviews on the seibon fitment being pretty close... anyways none of that stuff is relevant... why the hell would the hood need hood pins if it's an OEM replacement with the same hinge? the extra 15-25 pounds of the factory hood is NOT gonna keep the hood on... if its gonna fly off its gonna fly off..

actually no. i havent. but there shouldnt be enough airflow under there for the hood to flex anyways... damn that sux.... so what's a good CF hood? i'm going Seibon from what i hear word of mouth because no one seems to know deft racing.

I have a Seibon on my 4th gen, fits pretty damn well, and doesnt flex like I have seen many other companies hoods do! Also after 2 years with alot of sun exposure it still looks great, hasnt faded or turned colors. I also am baffled by the hood flying off thing, mine is very well fit and attached on the car, and it has seen over 130 with no problems, and I don't have hood pins. I will say that a few times on the highway at 80+ with a super strong crosswind I have seen it fluttering up and down a tad in the center, but not enough to concern me for any reason.
