Default 96 hatch with 2000 si motor, harness question one plug on dash harness?

The motor is in but have some wiring questions there is one plug which was on the engine harness on the old motor (96) and is on the dash harness of the 2000. Do we have to pull the dash and swap the dash harness or is there an easier way to do it?

the easiest thing to do would be to get a harness from a civic EX 96-98 and put it on the engine and it will plug right in. the 99-00 are a little different as you found out.

Sell the 99-00 Engine harness and ECU. It's a major PITA to get it to work in your car!!!!!

Buy a 96-98 EX harness.

Try and find a 96-97 del Sol ecu (B16a) -good luck.

Get a 96-00 GSR ECU (engine will bog at 4400 prms)

get the OBDI-OBDII ecu harness and OBDI ecu with a New program (Best Bet)

Check out http://www.jspectuning.com/6gen/ for more wiring info...

have fun,
