Default electrical problem(s) Yay!!!!on1!!1!

Okay, 2 probs I've got right now.

94 vtec Si lude

Most importatnly, my fan blower for my climate controll does not work all the time. It will start blowing at random times, no correlation to bumps or anything. Last year I took the climate controll out, and resoldered all the points on the plug like people recommended, that fixed my a/c not coming on. Now my prob is when I slide the lever to turn the blower on, heat/ac/or defrost, anything....... it won't blow. Now tomorrow it may just start for no reason. Any ideas guys?

Next prob, my radio quit working... I downshifted from 5th to 3rd at 60 a little hard. And it just quit. It's a new panasonic and I installed it where my older better one was because I was about to trade my lude in. The cd player and radio keep working, and display numbers etc. as if it were working perfectly, but I have no sound at all. I tried my older cd player which worked perfectly, and it still wont play any sound through any speaker. I at first assumed it would have been the radio itself, but its the car somewhere. I checked the plugs and adapters between the cd player and the car, and I'm stumped. When I unplug each one or plug them on with the car on, i get a slight pop through the speakers as if they were connected.... any ideas here?

Thanks a lot, oh and here's my new lude that's replacing my old one.

The blower motor has a power transistor that may be on its way out. I recommend getting a helms and following a diagnostic for that one.

I would get an ohmmeter and check continuity on those connectors and such. You may have shorted something somewhere also, so check both things out. Are you sure the fuse on the radio is ok?

I mean, everything on the radio works except sound... But I'll double check the fuse. When checking the continuity what continuity would I be looking for? Neither of the problems are related.
Thanks

You want continuity on the speaker wires all way from the connector into the radio, to the connector onto the speaker.

Continuity means 0 ohms (or damn near it, there is a little bit of resistance over the wires)
Am I correct in assuming you don't have an amp or a crossover or anything in line w/the speakers?

Yes, you are correct. Would all of the sound output be messed up though? I'll test with my volt meter later this week, but i wonder why all would have done that when the car jerked.

I think that is pretty obvious dude..

Something probably jiggled loose somewhere or shorted out.

a couple of weeks ago the exact same thing happened to me. i checked the whole wiring harness!! couldnt find the problem. i was thinking "the radio is on, i can select tracks but it wont make sound!" i even tried using a different radio, no success. then i remembered the tweeters. they are removed and the wires are just loose now. i pulled the cover and found that the two wires were touching. this made all the sound of the radio cut out. separated the wires, made sure they werent touching anything metal and voila! i had sound again.

check your speaker connections. maybe thats where your problem is.
