Hi! after reading a lot of ok reviews about the OBX LSD I decided to get one for my H22. I looked at the ebay stores and found Sparktec. I asked him a question about shippng here to the Philippines and he replied quick and gave me a good rate. The person who entertained me was Alex Wom. But after that he kept on telling me not to use Ebay. also he wanted me to wire the money to an address thats not the same as the company's address. Any of you guys dealt with sparktec and know this guy? It seems bulll to me that they dont even want to give me thair phone number. He's willing to do a private auction for me but why cant I just but it from the stupid ebay store and hit buy it now? Please enlighten me on this bacause to me t seems that he's trying to pull one on me... I'm calling camp 1320 later since not being given the phone number seems fucked up for someone 8000 miles away... Thanks and please help

 

Sounds really dodgy to me . Stick with the legit store on Ebay and use Paypal for buyer protection etc.

 

Do not, I repeat, do not wire the money. There are several scams that people can do on ebay and that is one of them. EBay has no juricdiction when you wire money and there is no auction, especially out of the country. This guy could recieve the money and then never talk to you again and ebay can't do anything about it because it did not pertain to an auction.

Also, this guy could have stole this guys name and password and pretending he is sparktec. Beware auctions that state in the auction, do not click on ask the seller since my email address isn't working, email questions to this new email. Its a scam.

 

thanks guys i bid on another one now from ERZ performance. hopefully this one goes through. As for mr. Alex I sent his e mails to ebay security center. Thank you thank you very much for your concern guys..

we'd like to give it a try so we can market it here if it works pretty decent. Not everyone here has money to cough up for a quaife. So my car is the Guinea pig hehe.

 

also can you guys suggest an OBX dealer or quaife dealer for that matter. thanks

Because it works and works very well

 

i have bought from sparktec before without issues, but it was through an auction once, and then later an exhaust B pipe by contacting him and doing paypal through the same address from the auction. I would not do business the way that was suggested by the Alex person.

 

I've also bought 3 OBX LSD's from Sparktec before, but through their website. Everything arrived as they should when I ordered from them. I communicated with them via email. This was about 3 months ago.

 

Just saw this thread. I am good friends with the owners of Sparktec. Alex is a friend of mine and a good guy. I would not hesitate buying from Sparktec.
