I putted some acl race bearing on my ls vtec but someone told me it not good because the clearance is too tight. it only use for couple run on the track. should i take my motor apart to put acl bearing or keep the race?

Shouldn't you have known what the oil clearances were when you built the engine?

ACL's, if I'm not mistaken, are green. They're like the 'average size' or 'middle size' bearings.

I suggest you talk to your cousin and ask him if he measured the journals and bought the appropriate bearings. If he doesnt know, I'd say go ahead and tear down the motor, plastigauge the journals, and get the right bearings.

ACL race bearings are a little looser than the normal ACL bearings.

but without knowing the actual clearances you wont know how it will affect your oil pressure readings.

take the engine apart and do it right the first (second now) time or run a 10w40 or thicker engine oil and pray it holds together.
