take a look at my intake manifold
Check your PCV valve, looks like it's stuck open.
If you are turbo charged, then check your turbo's oil seals.
It is usually normal with cars with high mileage. All the oil vapors being recirculated back into the IM gets accumulated and you'll have those deposits.
You can prevent this from happening by running a catch can venting to the atmosphere, not back into the IM.

My jdm h22(est 50,000) had a lot of oil in the runners. I bought a catch can and will remove the plenum for a looksee after some miles. But that's when my 94 runs again
Edit: A stuck open pcv valve would seem to make the most sense like matt said.

I used to have a catch can on mine, and the vial, roughly 2 ounces, would fill up in about a month.
Now you can understand where some of the h series oil consumption comes from.
Steveo, I didn't say that, lol bb_one did.
But, you can't just leave the catch can open to the atmosphere, you need a vac source to pull air out so you get Postive Crankcase Ventilation instead of just CV.

i was browsing the FI section and saw the Catch can post about taking a vacuum source to have some flow to the system....i'll probably end up getting one and eliminating the PCV system
after i get a Catch can i'll probably take off the IM and clean it

I need a pic of the IAB solenoid and the black box next to it. Where the VAC line from my Intake Manifold connects to that black box is broken. I just need a pic, to see what im looking for when i go under the car to pull it out.
