Just want to share a rare incident that happened to me =)
well i don't know if this happens to anybody here before it but it just happened to me over the wkend...i was driving to a friend's house after work and came to a 4-way stop, then a cop on a bike that was biking on the opposite side of the street flaged me to stop. i was like o-s***t, what did i do now. so here's how the conversation goes down
Me: how's it goin officer?
Cop: How ya doin? i stopped you because i was a little curious if this was a real Type R or not
Me: o yes it is sir
Cop: i could tell after i got close. 5 lugs and all. oh wow, Japanese front and all, I just want to say you got yourself a really nice car
Me: well thank you sir
Cop: congratulation on the nice ride. i don't want to hold you up any longer. i'll let you go on your way
Me: thanks again officer (with a big
)
as i was leaving he was still lookin my way as i looked on the rear view mirror...
nothing much but i just thought that was an awesome experience especially when the cops around here always seem to pick on hooked up cars...my surprise was this cop actually recognize a Type R...hehehe
just thought i would share it since it is Type R related...

Cool
Little OT: I sometimes daydream about the world 40 years from now, when we're all old. You see old folks now driving around in their Buick's and for the "cool oldies", 69 Camaro's, Nova's, etc.
I wonder if we will see old folks (us
) in their slammed Civics and Integras. And of course, Barrett-Jackson auctions being full of DC2R's, AE86's, etc.
Just a funny thought on this mundane workday...

haha I've always thought the same thing. I'll be damned if my son or daughter touches my ITR when they get their license lol. Im sure we will see cars like the ITR and Cobra mustang and Z06 vette still being pimped. But things now are not like they used to be, many more cars out there now and they are not as recognizable as in the 50's-60's. I doubt if the cars of today will be the classics the 60's Vettes, Camaros, and GTO's are to us today.

I thought about that. I dont think it will be like it is now with 50-60-70s car cause they make a billion of the same cars now. And they dont make them like they used too. I could make like 3 of my car with the metal used in my 70 nova. Maybe with the more rare car like an ITR..ect. Not so much as a Civic ex. Time will tell.
Nice man, it has happened to me before. It was a Nevada Highway Patrol (Vince) who pulled me over, we talked on the side of the road about Expo, F1, Hondas, the R for about an hour. we exchanged numbers still talk a lot, and hand out every 3-4 weeks or so for some

R = modern Muscle cars without muscle huhu
You can guarantee that our cars will be very similar to the Classic car guys of this era, why wouldn't they be? As much recognition they have recieved, and the history involved in the R-line, there is no doubt it will be remembered.
Honda Enthusiasts are everywhere in the states now, and the R has always had a cult following unlike any other Honda production vehicle thus far.
Only time will really tell, but that is my more than fair guess things.

thats great! good story for me.
PS. I'm so confused to why everyone ask if its a real Type-R. In all my days as an ITR owner i've only ran into 2 non-itr integra's with ITR stickers, but i get asked all the time if i got a real one and it kinda annoys.
