Default Civic Trunk Space (Big/wide enough for a bike ??)

Hi,

I'm currently shopping for a new car and I would really want to purchase another Honda. So far, I have the Honda Fit, the Civic coupe and sedan on my list. I've test drove a Civic coupe (EX) yesterday and I liked it even thought I find it fairly small. But I must say that I prefer the sportier style of the coupe over the sedan, but the sedan would be more practical.

Anyway, I have to be able to fit my road bike in the trunk and I didn't have time to measure the width of the trunk opening. I have an appointment with the salesman this friday (I'll bring my bike), but in the meantime I was wondering if anyone was able to fit a bike in the trunk of a Civic coupe. Is the trunk of the sedan a little bit bigger.

Thanks

I have no problems fitting my roadbike in the trunk of my Si...I just take a tire off, and if you fold the backseat down you will have no troubles. You only have to fold down one seat too, just slide the forks up between the two and your set...

Thanks for the quick response PostIt

That's some good news.

I have a 58 cm road bike (for non-cyclists; it's fairly big) so I'll have to confirm on friday to see if it can fit. But I'm happy to hear that it's possible.

Specialized Mountain bike fits no problem so I'm sure a road bike will fit just fine. GL!

You could probably fit it much easier in the fit....maybe even stand it up to. Lots of interior room in that little car. But if you want a civic it should fit fine in there to.
