Default Warranty

So I'm the proud owner of an Si Sedan and I recently went to the stealership with some warranty coverage questions. Turns out I can't do ANYTHING to the car w/o voiding the warranty b/c if they prove it was from aftermarket parts they won't pay for it. Typical story right?

I know w/ a good mechanic outside of the stealership there are ways around it.
I'm thinking of a cold-air, lowered suspension (when available), cat-back, 15 inch wheels (if rotors will clear). Normal mods, nothing crazy.

Are the performance/appearance gains worth the risk?

^^^the law on the topic

this has been brought up before.. caused alot of debate..

basically it boils down to this... Dealerships / Honda can deny a warranty claim, but they can't void your entire warranty for any reason..

Why would you want to put 15's on the car?

Are they worth the 'risk'? It depends what you're looking for.

If you're looking for power gains, then no, I don't really think it's worth the (albeit small) risk of something happening to your intake or exhaust system. Regardless of what people say, the 1-2 whp you gain from an intake and maybe ~4 from an exhaust cannot be felt. It's purely in their heads - you will, however, improve the sound of the car.
