OK so I am not up to par on Honda Tuning yet I was more of a lowrider hydraulics on a 85 regal kinda guy, but I recently baught a 2005 Honda Civic EX Special Edition and I am going to start working on it very soon, but I am having an issue. I cannot for the life of me figure out what damn motor is in my car. The dealer says it is a 2.0 SI Motor, I believe it is a 1.8 SOHC Vtech.

On the motor itself it only says V Tech!

So can someone clear up the confusion for me, please! I am looking forward to building my first Tuner that is for myself.

 

It's a 1.7L... Unless it had the SI engine swapped in. If it came with the 2.0 wouldn't make sense if it was called an SI.

 

It's definitely a 1.7L VTEC engine (not Vtec<u>h</u>).

 

you couldve googled it also since you know what trim your car is.

btw, you start off with 127hp if your curious. while were on the subject, only a k swap and boost will make you quicker.

 

1.7 4 cyl. for sure and yes its gonna have 127hp^^
