DC2 Mini Restoration, JHP goal, and more. 56k lol.
Well, I got into a small fender bender a couple weeks ago and finally got around to repairing it.
Here are some pictures before the accident. For more, see this thread.

After the small accident. The car need a few things. I was out of money so I thought I would just drop the price $1500 and see if anyone would want to buy it as is. Had some interest, but finally I couldn't stand seeing my car like that anymore and decided to keep pouring money and work into it.
Car needed:
-Front bumper
-Driver side fender
-Driver side corner light
-1 Wheel
Here are some pictures of the damage. It really wasn't bad at all. There isn't a single scratch on the bumper support and frame didn't get touched or shifted at all. The wheel looks all beat to hell but that's rota for you.
Took off the wheel and put the car on a 15" donut.
I searched about 2 weeks for a Flamenco Black Pearl front end in perfect condition to match the rest of my car. I eventually gave up hope and started searching for any colored parts as long as they were in good condition. For a few days, it looked like I was going to end up with a hybrid black/green/silver car but finally I found someone selling parts from his 1998 Flamenco Black Pearl integra. I called and set up a time to pick up the parts.
I was going to pay $190 for the front bumper and driver side fender but when I get there, the guy throws in the other fender and corner lights for free (smoked
).
My goal was to have the car done/ready for the jhpusa bbq meet. It was not easy since I had class everyday of the week and have to run my web business.
So anyways, I managed to fit all the parts into my 2001 honda civic coupe and took it home.
I couldn't wait for the next day since I am extremely **** about my car's paint condition, so at 12 am, I decided to clean up the front bumper and driver side fender since they were in pretty disgusting shape. They had been sitting outside for many months since the guy changed to a jdm front end.
There was bird **** all over it and I discovered a scrape in the fender.
It also looks as if the front bumper was repainted since there are a bunch of runs in the paint, abnormal amount of orange peel, and the emblem holes are gone. Nonetheless, the bottom areas had a good amount of oxidation.

Here it is halfway detailed.
Thursday, I went to go pick up a "mint" fender that turned out to not be mint. The shape is good but it is missing paint in some areas. Wasted $50. Will resell.
Friday night, I decided to start the tear down. Worked from 11 pm to 7 am. No matter what I tried it seems, I could not get the bumper and fender to align properly, probably because I was trying to put parts from 3 different integras into 1.
Here is the "mint" fender that I bought. Couldn't get it to fit right so I decided not to go with this one.
Sanded down passenger side head light lens with 1000 wet because it was showing a bit of yellow. Still haven't had time to polish it up but will soon.
Got the bumper on and it's light outside!
It's 7 am and I decide to take rest. Get a call from friends and they want to get donuts so no sleep.
We go to fosters and get a box of them. Here is my friend holding one.
We go to the La Canada cars and coffee show that is every saturday morning from 7-9 (for locals). Mostly regulars that showed up so I didn't snap very many pictures. Here's something that caught my eye.
Another friend was also going to attend the jhp meet in his sr20 powered 240sx but we had a ton of work to do on his car as well.
First off, new shoes for him. 17x9/17x8 sportmax 962. 245/225 staggered tires.
He works at firestone so we get free mount, balance, and alignments.
During the week, I had been calling, emailing, and messaging shops/sponsors looking for a replacement wheel for my integra. First of all, Rota has been out of the 16x7 white slipstream in 4x100 et40 for over 6 months, and 2nd of all, no shops had any colored 16x7 slipstream in 4x100 et40 except JHPUSA.
But, they weren't willing to split up a set of 4, so I was SOL if i wanted another slipstream. Luckily, my friend had a set of brand new 16x7 Rota Grid in his garage. I bought them off of him for $320 and got them mount and balanced onto my tires.
We kept working on our cars into Saturday night. Had some wheel clearance problems on my friend's car since he has Z32 brakes so we had to make lots of trips to Autozone. We also decided to add more things to do, including spray painting some parts.
Here is my car on jack stands.
And with the grids on. Little spot on rear bumper was painted later in the night.
I personally hate the look of rota grids and even Volk TE37's on a front wheel drive cars since the spoke design doesn't really flow well with a high offset. Seems like everyone else I know prefers them to the white slips though. I think they just like the fact that it's something different. I'm no wheel *****.
Here is my friend fitting his new rims on his 240sx and me in the back opening up a new box.
Here is my friend's front bumper half/half. It was completely faded/oxidated before but after 3 coats of spray and a TON of clear coats, it came out pretty decent. Also painted some parts on my car.
And that's where I stopped taking pictures because we had so much work left to do.
Finally called it a night at 4 am. Had to roll start both of our cars because the batteries went flat.
The next morning, I got to his house at around 10:30 and gave each car a quick wash and buffed off the overspray. My friend lowered my car a bit more while I washed his car. We then set off to JHPUSA following Google's retarded directions and got there a bit late so had to park in the back where nobody went.
Did anybody get pictures of our cars? Even shitty ones lol.
So today between classes, I decided to snap a few quick shots of the car. A few notes first though. I really do not like the rims at all. I think I'm going to keep pursuing a new slipstream and sell this set. Also, I really hate the smoked corners (obviously) and will be replacing them with a set of oem ambers soon. And lastly, the car literally needs a front lip.

Then at my pcc night class (smhs campus), I took a couple more.
Still a work in progress, but getting there. Still looking for jhp photos of mine and a friend's car. Reason is that he bet money that nobody got shots of our cars.
Will be at next Krispy Kreme meet in Burbank.

looks super clean bro, but I think some part of your suspension may have gotten fudged in that wreck, because that front left camber looks WAYYYY off, even way off for how low your car is.

Car looks good man. Good job with the fix. As said before - your suspension got fucked too. No way your camber is that bad - even if it's down three inches. I think those Grids look much better than the Slips - just personal opinion. Take a look at the control arms and see if anything is bent in there. Good work.

wow dude, your camber is seriously fucked. you should get that checked out, looks like the accident probably bent some arms...</TD></TR></TABLE>
thanks for the heads up.
yeah i noticed that as well. going to look at it today. strange thing is that there is no pull when driving and i haven't aligned it yet after lowering it on sunday morning.
