Cats for stock exhaust?
Are there any cats out there that bolt up to the stock exhaust system that aren't OEM? I'm having a hard time finding a used stock ITR CAT. Looking for other alternatives...
^^^^correct. Even Vibrant has hi-flow cats. That's what I run. Shouldn't be hard to find a cat and get the proper flanges and have a muffler shop weld it all together for you. <---------**/end run on sentnece>**

No, don't do that. I tried it (so I could use a larger-diameter cat than the 2" stock-sized one) and they completely bungled it. They wanted to weld it into the exhaust system and header (!), which of course would have failed eventually from vibration, plus I wouldn't have been able to change the exhaust system later (which I did shortly after). I had them weld flanges on instead, and they used the rusty old nasty flanges instead of new ones, and it totally looked like crap. Figures... the one time I try going to a "shop" to get something done, it's a disaster.
Plus, it's really hard to find any shops willing to work with your parts. Most will outright refuse.
The original poster here just wants a cat for a stock exhaust, not a performance exhaust. Just get the Carsound "Direct Fit" cat for your car. It's around $100 on the internet, and already has the flanges and O2 bung(s) attached for your particular application. I ended up getting one of those and it fit perfectly. This is much cheaper than having someplace local weld some mess up for you, and it'll have factory quality and be made of all stainless steel, so you don't have to worry about rusting.
Edit: For people wanting a good cat with a larger internal diameter, to fit with a performance exhaust system, get one from SMSP. They use Carsound cats and weld the correct SS flanges onto them. They're a little pricey, but when you compare the cost of the universal Carsound cat plus the cost of SS pipe and flanges and most of all labor, it's quite reasonable, plus it's a much safer bet than taking it to some random local shop and hoping they do a good job.

According to this link the Direct Fit ones aren't available. Am I wrong or have the wrong site?

Good question. You're not wrong, nor do you have the wrong site. Unfortunately, Magnaflow/Carsound's information isn't complete. I had forgotten about this.
The car I got a cat for was a '00 GS-R. According to Carsound, they don't have a direct-fit application for that, but that's wrong. The 00-01 GS-R uses the same cat as the 96-01 RS/LS/GS. Here's the link where I got it, on a site called performance-curve.com: http://www.performance-curve.c...=1007
Hopefully that URL will work those interested; if not, just navigate to Exhaust > Catalytic Converters > By Application > Acura > Integra > 96-99 4cyl - 1.8L > GS, LS, RS.
Now for the ITR, I'm not really sure. I just checked the OEM part numbers at acuraoemparts.com, and while the '00 GS-R does use the same cat part number as the '00 LS, as I remembered, the '00 Type-R uses a different number, so I wouldn't bet on this one fitting your car.
Unless someone here knows more about the ITR catalytic converter, and if it's the same size as any other car's, I'd recommend giving SMSP a call. I'm sure they have one ready-made for your application.

On a side note... my gf needs a Cat for her 99 LS sedan. Will a 96 LS with its original 02 bolt directly on? It ran rich for a few days and killed it.
Anyways...I guess I'll check out SMSP if no one has a stock one for sale.

Yeah, the 96-01 LS should all be the same.
