today i went to pep boys to get all the fluids for my new motor swap. i got P/S flud, Coolnt, i asked for tranny fluid but they couldnt find any for the 01 LS 5 speed tranny. all they had was for automatics.. is it the same? or what do u guys recommend i get for tranny flud. and also what oil should i get?

 

No, the automatic fluid is not the same. Just go to your local Honda or Acura dealer and ask for Honda MTF fluid. Also make sure that the PS fluid you purchased is specifically made for Honda and Acura systems.

 

All the Honda 4-bangers of the 90s to my knowledge take 10-30 in the 5-speed tranny. DO NOT USE ATF!

Honda MTF!

only use 10w-30 if there is no way you can get Honda MTF.
