distributor???
i already searched, couldnt find the culprit...i dont know if its my dist..its a stock 1.5
i drive my car today, it boggs like crazy to the point where i cant drive it, it just shuts off..when the car is cold, it is fine, but once its warmed up it runs like crap, so crappy where i cant even drive the car
any help would be appreciated

OK, if you suspect it's your distributor, check the coil and igniter using the procedures in the Factory Service Manual. If you need one, there's a link to an electronic copy in the FAQ.
yea i saw this in the faq page many times..i dont understand what i should be taking apart..my buddy has an extra from a d series...hopefully it'll work, and the timing is right..which hopefully i do right

Just make sure that it's one from a DPFI vehicle (STD, DX, LX) and give it a shot. You can mark where the arms on your current one sit then match the new one up with those marks to keep the same timing.
If you want to take your current one apart but are unsure about it, it's pretty easy. Just take the cap off (three bolts), then the rotor (one screw) and dust shield (pops off). If you still are unsure, just try swapping the distributors.

the coil is help on with 4 srews and then u have the blue and black with yellow stripe( 2 small crews on the coil).then for the ignitor its under the dizzy held in with 2 screws. thats all for taking the coil and ignitor off. hope it helps.
i think i fixed the problem..i cleaned off the metal little spikes with a wire brush, there were disgusting...so black couldnt even see the silver..seems to be fine for now, ill update and thanks for feedback
