Default b18c's suck

lol.... j/k dont take offense i just wanted this to get some attention.please read all of this before you post as i have already tried alot of stuff so now that i have your attention i will start off with yes i have searched very thoroughly for some insight with no luck.

car: 93 del slo
motor: completely stock jdm gsr

issue: car feels very stout when its cool or below operating temp but as soon as it warms up its VERY sluggish all the time throughout the rpms, much more than just heat soak and it even does it on cool nights (65 degrees) it also seems to have like a hiccup around 3k rpms and again at 45-5k rpms

things i have checked or replaced

fuel pump: tried a walbro 255 and no change so i put the stock back in

map sensor: swapped for the one off the sohc, no change

tps: swapped for one off a b16 and calibrated to oem voltage, no change

02 sensor: swapped for a used oem, no change

ignitor: swapped for used oem, no change

timing is set to oem.

new timing, water pump, oem plugs/wires/cap/rotor done at the time of swap (last week)
iabs seem to function correctly and madd vtak pops off lol.

things im gonna check tonight:
swap dizzys with a friend
swap ecu to a jdm p30 just to see if any change
possibly timing belt is off timing... doubt it.

the car runs fine and idles fine cold or warm except for the slug effect.lol and doesnt use any oil or coolant that i can notice allthough i am keeping a close eye on the coolant so if you have any suggestions or things to check please help a sol brother out and b18c's dont suck

jdm p30 ecu wont make your car run smooth either..it is made for jdm b16a SiR II engine..try to get a chipped p28 ecu or usdm p72 ecu..have u replaced all the spark plugs,,wire..dizzy cap and rotor? clean the iacv?and a tune up ?
no CEL,right ?

P72 ecu
p72 ecu
p72 ecu
p72 ecu

Did i also mention the p72 ecu?

You will not run the GSR motor correctly if you do not use the GSR ecu, its that plain and simple. Gotta love those secondary butterflies (IABs).

im not new to the game by all means so i know what a p30 is and i jus wanted to see if it still felt sluggish with the p30 not run smoother since the sluggishness and bogginess (wow what a vocabulary i have lol) is the issue. im just trying to rule out all suspects including the ecu and yes everything is new as i stated above and no CELS. thanks

yes i know. im not a moron newb . im running the jdm p72 but im gonna try a p30 because i dont have access to another p72 just to see if the sluggishness goes away although im aware it will not run tottaly correct. im just trying to trouble shoot and rule out the ecu. thanks

get a fpr to see how much fuel your getting. might be clogged injectors.

not necaserrily (spelling) a clogged injector can make your engine junk out at almost any and every rpm.

but it runs 100% fine and strong when its not up to operating temp yet and as soon as it is it sucks. lol it really seems to be heat related and operating temp related idk

so last night i tried a friends dizzy and no change so then i decided to go ahead and try a b16 ecu, well it seemed to get rid of the hiccups and felt just a little better down low but obviously not like it should being the incorrect ecu and all. then after driving on the b16 p30 ecu for 15 min or so i swapped back to the p72 and the car ran worse than it ever has wtf! it had very little power and the power band was very jumpy and spiked up and down at wide open throttle throughout the rpms so i had to swap back to the p30 just to get home! wtf so later i checked my plugs (which looked good) and let the car cool down, put the p72 back in and it runs fine until it warms up then it feels sluggish......im right back at square one. i think it may be the ecu but im not sure

How many miles on the motor?
What harness are you using to run the motor?
The plugs arent fouling over, are they?
Not shooting any smoke of any color?
Are you running a cat?

Listing possibilities that may get you on the right track here...

Was there ever a point in time when you had the motor and it ran the way it was supposed to? or has it always seemed to run this way?

Also with the SOHC harness, its not equipped with wiring for the IABs, did you add those as well?

im not positive since i didnt get on it much for the first 500 miles due to the new clutch, it seemed to run ok til i got on it then all of a sudden it started feeling sluggish. but it runs great until operating temp or after 3 or 4 min of driving.

yeah i wired the iab's and they seem to be working fine. also i have to admit that when i first started the car after the swap it kept cutting off and i would drive it up the street and it would cut in and out randomly.....well that was fixed soon after i realized the ground on the thermostat was loose and grounding and ungrounding itself with the vibration of the motor.......yeah i know...lol i suck. could that have caused any damage to my ecu?????????

Change your thermostat. Is it your answer? No, but when I ordered my motor from them it needed one.

Not likely the ECU itself controls grounds... Your knock sensor outta wack for the ECU pulling timing etc?

idk about the ecu controls the grounds part but the knock seems to be functioning but this all seems to be related to the car warming up to operating temp and then messing up
