Default Max Speed Per Gear

Okay im wondering about max speed per gear. In the H23a1. 1st gear max speed in the owners manual is like 22 mph. I can get there at like 4K rpm leaving the other 2.5 rpm pretty much useless.
IS there a way to get more MPH per gear?
Or is that it.

i dont think its a direct relation between speed and gear. RPMs on different size rims makes speed different. hill vs. flat, pavement vs. offroad, all the different variables make for speed/gear off.

on my H22, first takes me up to 30 i think, 2nd gear takes me past 55, i havent redlined 3rd gear on public roads yet but 4k is at 60-70ish...

thats on flat hwy

I think the H23A1 actually maxes at about 35 or so... or maybe mine has VTAK! But no seriously, you should be able to take it higher than 22 mph in 1st gear.

I can hit 30 in 1st and about 55-60 in 2nd with my H23. That's going into redline though...

Not SEARCHING makes baby jesus cry

Go the the FAQ, find the link with the tranny codes and gear ratios, find your tranny.....

go to this website
http://www.fatboyraceworks.com/gears/

put in your gear ratios, max rpm(redline), and tire size

now you have your answer

Okay so I was at that web site, and I put in the gear ratios and redline for the h23a1. Then I typed in the tire size then I put the stock tire size and then I upped the tire size to 245/55/17. And the MPH in each gear increased, can bigger tires really do that. Wouldnt the bigger rim on the tire also slow down acceleration?

Yes. Larger OD tires = higher land speed in each gear. Larger OD tires effectively raise (numerically lower) your final drive ratio, so it does affect acceleration.

first gear to 45 mph? umm.....

and another way to go faster in a given gear is to make some more power from the engine . turbo FTW!
