When was this pic taken? I can not believe that the Nationals came and went and I didn't get out to see Jetydosa.

In between this last weds and sun. Yeah, we missed it.
I had to work.
From my local board, I learned..... "He finished 18th in SM right above me. He was running the 275/35-15 A6's." Thats a quote from a friend who was there in an STI.

Nats was awesome (again)!
I saw the SM ITR run, it looked pretty quick but not as quick as Chris Travis' hatch. It also was fairly heavy (I was working impound/scales for SM), it was only a few lbs lighter than my car (2453 after competition on 1st day).
I did 'ok'...I was 23rd after day 1 of 41, .6 sec out of trophies (mostly ITRs), HOWEVER...my car was protested due to some 'misrouted' vaccum lines and it was upheld, costing me an additional second on each of my day 1 runs. Needless to say this dropped me like a rock. Day 2 I was not all there mentally and ended up 32nd or so after the penalty. I believe I would have still been ~23rd had it not been for the penalty. Freggin sucked to take all of that effort to convert the car from STX, tow all that way (over 1600mi roundtrip) and have it go for naught bc of a weenie protest like that.
Heres a SCAN of a pic the photogs took
Bartek won his 2nd Natl Champ in a row with some hellacious driving! Hubert just out of the trophies due to cone trouble. There was a ****-ton ITRs in DS and it was awesome experience even tho I was not happy with the final outcome.

Rules are rules and Stock is stock.
Was everybody on Millenia wheels. What size tires, front to back?
edit: your caR looks like how mine used to look.

Yeah, SM is not a friendly place for ITRs to play, 275's or not. There will always be a lighter hatch with just as much power and tire.
My STX ITR is over 100 lbs lighter than the SM car too, and I think mine is a pig.
And someone protested a car not in the trophies? You've got to be kidding.

The official protest was "tampering with factory emissions". Im not even 100% sure what the hose does. It connects to the line that the exits the crankcase breather. It was misrouted (it was like that when I got the car). Obviously no performance advantage, but it was not like it was supposed to be, either, when compared with other ITRs there and the FSM. BBQMan (Carl)'s car got a similar protest, he had non OEM crankcase breather hose with similar routing I believe.
As far as tires/wheels, virtually everyone was on Millenias that remember, and all ITRs except for mine and 1 other (we ran Kumho 710s 205/50) were on 225 Hoosiers on the front and 205s on the rear. The guy who protested me was actually running the new 275 Hoosier front and 225s rear. Thats right, 275s on a 6" rim!

I still think it was a douchebag protest since you were not in the trophies. Why waste the money? It could have just been pointed out--that's what I (and most others) would have done.

Absolutely. A little polite pointing out while in grid would have sufficed IMHO. It literally took 2 min to fix. Instead I got 1.5hrs+ in impound with various people pouring over the car, pointing, questioning, referencing, etc, and it gave me a shitty attitude going into day 2, thats for sure.

Damn, sorry to hear about the vacuum line ordeal. Worst part is definitely the mood killer part of it.
Looking good there though

Ouch. DFL hurts.
That car needs to go to DSP where it has a chance. And I'm not sure 275's all the way around is really needed.
