BRAKE Question
i took my civ to the dealership for a 15,000 maintainence checkup and they said everything was fine. among other things they rotated my tires. When i got back i quickly glanced over my wheels and realized that now my backbrakes (misisng disk brake?) are bare. its weird it looks like its missing the silver shiny part and only showing the rusty part (. excuse my car termology ignorance. is it suppose to be like this? i honestly dont remember my back wheels looking like this before i went there. im confused and i bet this post probably sounds confusing too. haha

Are you serious with that response? If you're gonna bash him, at least answer his question as well.
for you..
At the OP, that looks normal to me. Those parts tend to get 'rusty' pretty quickly since there's so much friction applied on the surface. Take it out and do some braking and you should notice it disappear, but only for a little while.

yeah thats definately drum brakes. I highly doubt they accidently removed and forgot to replace your brakes just to rotate the tires. Considering none of that comes off for that process.
