Mugen Twin Loop mid-pipe questions
I have a 2000 Sir and if i were to be using the mugne twin loop, what mid-pipe would be the best to use with it? would stock be good enough? I am currently running the type one cat-back, but i just want something a little quieter so i'm switching over to mugen. Would the type one mid-pipe which is about 58mm ID work well with the MTL, or would stock be better? Also what is the ID of the MTL? Any help is appreciated.
I believe the Mugen is about 58mm ID as well (60.5mm OD). Don't know if the muffler bolts up in the same location though, you may need some cutting/welding work done.
For sure it will bolt up, someone has already used that combo, but i just don't want the mid-pipe to be bigger than the exhaust. Can anyone confirm that the MTL is 58MM ID?
i am running a mugen TL on my 00' Si. The b-pipe is 2.25 inches same as the stock b-pipe for the Si. You wont need a bigger pipe unless you plan on upgrading your cams beyond ITR/CTR. If you go with more agressive cames ie. Toda B's, Jun III's then the mugen may be too restrictive with its stock b-pipe.

I don't think the stock b-pipe on an Si is 2.25, i think it's a little less than 2 inches, a type r b-pipe is around 2.25. I don't plan on upgrading my cams to Jun 3's or anything just CTR cams. So do you guys think it would be better for me to run the stock mid-pipe with the MTL, or my type one mid-pipe which is 58mm ID.
