i just blew a tranny in my 89 civic hatch what tranny can i put in it any 5speed or does it have to be the same one?

 

you have a stock motor i assume. i believe you can use any d series tranny (any tranny from 88-91).
the si has a 5 speed and other models do also.

but i am no tranny expert. i just thought i could get you started.

da std model hatch has a 4 speed trans, the dx n si are both 5 speed n i think the hf is also 5 speed but i'm not sure...

 

oh n i have a dx tranny out of a 90 crx for u mint..no grinds no problems...ill let it go real cheap....let me know
