if you dont have money right now I'd just tune it with an open downpipe then do a mandrel bent exhaust when you can afford it, or just wait until you have money to do both at once, I bet a mandrel bent exhaust will make a significant power difference over crush bent.

open downpipe is not as terrible as you'd think...for a short while. Its worth it to deal w/ the noise and have a good exhaust...crush bent sucks

i'd stick w/ Crome (crome pro isn't free) otherwise i'd go w/ Neptune. At DB i could get some version of it, and i guess its good, for a little over $100...not too bad for a top-of-the-line EMS. I think it just didn't have all the options (i dont need them anyway)

For gentle bends (say up to 20 or 30 degrees) there's only a very small difference in flow. The thing is, Honda-tech has alot of great suppliers that have stupidly low prices on mandrel bends so might as well do it right the first time.

check these guys out:http://store.racing-solutions.....html
i've bought plenty of bends from them, and had a good experience every time.stainless kit for $75!

you are right that the tuner is very important.any of the systems you listed will work well-you just need to find somebody who really knows how to use them.

not bad.

it really is alot of work. You gotta cut bends to make diff angles etc. it actually pretty time consuming.

is that them supplying the materials?i'm assuming crush bends?that's not bad for mandrel if that's the case, but muffler shops with mandrel benders are very rare..around here,it's about $150-$200 for crush bent.
maybe ask them about how much it'd be if you supplied the mandrel bent kit,and they did the welding and fitment.

just cut angles into the pipe and weld them together. will be alot of welding and work but will be better than crush bent.

are you really gonna notice a difference? Stuff like this gets blown out of per portion in my opinion. Unless its some show car that you will have mirrors under and/or running 500+RWHP, its not gonna matter.

Diesel truck running 700hp and 1000+ft lbs at the rear wheel will run a 4" pipe with cat and muffler. I dont think its gonna matter when you are running well into the 500hp range

Josh Ross is rocking 650 whp with 3inch crush bend. Crush bends on Turbo cars as long as its big enough isn't as bad as NA. As long as it isnt restrictive(to small) turbo back doesn't matter much. You have to worry about scavanging with na not turbo.
