Default Finally getting a Type R!!! Are these anyones?

So I'm finally going to be getting the dream car I've always wanted.
i need your help to see if these are fair prices. Now I found 2 of them at a dealership. Anybody knows who's car these were? And if its this a fair price?
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/...st=95
^^^ don't know the # but I can play with the price a little bit.
And second one...
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/...st=28
They're asking 17k for this one. Only thing is, I really want to know who owned this one because this one is modded and yeah. This one is at the South Coast Mitsubishi dealership, so I bet anything that this person sold it for an Evo!
Both of these I don't know which # they are yet, going to look at them soon!
Help me fulfill my dream!

I already got the loan, so yeah.
I already looked around the forums, hardly any clean ones in So Cal.
i would rather have a NHBP 01 intead of the 00 FBP, but it'll do. I just want to finally jump in a R!

Why are you limiting your search to So Cal. only?
If you really want to find an R in nice condiiton than you should be ready to travel a little bit

<----- drove 470 miles each way to pick up his haha

Really? I've been on the phone with them several of time, they've been good to me. How was your visit?

I was planning on checking out the black one tomorrow!

yeah, they were nice to me on the phone too... I told them about my trade-in, the S4, in full detail, and said I didn't want to waste my time coming down there if they couldn't take it as a trade-in.. they assured me it was no problem... I drove down there and they changed their tune immediately, just wanted me to come down and work me over...

You should really widen your search if you want a clean R. Took me about 6 months to find mine it wasn't perfect but, it was 100% stock no mods what so ever. I didn't drive half way across the country to get my R. I got my R shipped from Atlanta, Georgia to Socal for $600. I paid half and the seller paid the other half.

http://www.dasautoshippers.com/

thats the shipping company I used. I suggest paying extra for insurance.

And you're probably wondering, how would I buy a car with out even looking at it?

Good luck man! I'd probably stay away from the NBP one. It looks to be lowered perhaps with just aftermarket springs on stock shocks (hopefully not).

Hold out for one from a private party so you can actually talk to the real seller, get history, and get a feel for who was thrashing it. These dealerships pick these cars up a auctions for thousands below the web prices and know zilch about the cars with very little regard for the history or abuse. Why do you want to put a few grand in their pockets for doing nothing?

Let me know if you get ambitious and expand your search for a clean, stock, adult owned '97. You can even test it by driving cross country.

Got mine from CT and I'm in FL...

Flight up, stayed with a forum regular then he drove me to get my car and I drove back.

IMO it's worth it just for the experience of driving the car and getting used to it. Not to mention you can stop by friends places out of town on the way back.

If you are simply looking into those 2 I would buythe yellow one, it seems to be pretty mint from the pics, but would have to see it person obviously and would have to talk them down on the price. But I would do as others say and keep looking. GL
