Can anyone tell me how the spec differs from the JDM EG4 VTI to the higher spec models like the Si/Sir? I'm mainly concerned with suspension/chassis. Here in the UK the VTI "IS" the top spec EG (with the B16a/1/2 engine). I hear the JDM VTI is more like the UK's ESi (sohc 1.6 125bhp'ish). But the JDM VTI is a 1.5l. So can anyone tell me the other differences as apposed to the higher spec models?

Your ESi is exactly like the VTi except for the 0.1L displacement difference. Suspension wise, they are the same.

 

The JDM VTi has the D15B VTEC SOHC engine, and the JDM Si has the B16 DOHC, like the VTi in the UK. In terms of suspension, I can't imagine that there'd be too much of a difference in spec, but there could be because of the need to handle two different engines.

JDM Si hatch is the EG5 with a DOHC ZC.

 

I'm just wanting to know because I've just bought a JDM EG4 and I want to know what bits of the suspension would be good to upgrade to either UKDM VTI or ITR items. The hubs and front brakes are already ITR items and it already has rear discs. Also, the front arms are Skunk2 adjustables. I'd like to know about dampers and ARB's etc. I'd like to upgrade to ITR parts or UKDM VTI parts depending on which of the parts are already the same and which would be an upgrade.
Also, can anyone tell me about setting the front adjustable skunk2 arms?
