Went to the Valley Forge show today. Mixed emotions
So I went to a bike show today at Valley Forge. Lots of bikes there with an appearance by Jason Britton the man from Super Bikes. Now at the show it was definitely swarmed with all types of bikes. Repsol Hondas, to L.E. Yamaha R1's, to a few 08 Busas.
Now they also had going on stunt competition and a bike show contest. My buddy has a decently built bike. He's into a different style of motorcycle then me. He's into the lights and really flashy appeal. So his bike has a really really good air brush job, some chrome wheels, lights all over, blah blah blah. Basically a home built bike that he rides daily, and spends his money on from work etc.
Now in this same competition he's going against million dollar companies. The majority of the bikes (which consist of about 6 busa's and 1 R1) in the competition were all trailored in, and the same guy owned them. Now I always give respect when it's due and the fact that the R1 had nitrous tanks through the gas tank was ridiculous to see. Some bikes had a 360 tire. But the owner has his own shop and builds these for a living. But I felt it was just wrong for the competition. But competition can be fearce. Oh well my buddy came in 4th out of 10 or so bikes.
Now here's where I'm just like blah whatever who cares. The stunt show. To me it was like. Wheelie, high chair, burnout and circle wheelie. Now adays I just don't care for stunts like these. To me it's just like whatever your Street Fighter or whatever is a POS. To actually take a once very good looking bike and street fighting it to me is pointless it ends up looking like ****, after it's been dropped 1 thousand times.
But there were happy times. Looking at the Repsol Hondas brought the Moto GPness out of me. There was a nasty R1 there. Jamie James built. A few other AMA and Moto GP replicas. All looked really clean and done right. To me that's where the show was.
And last to say, Jason Britton. First person I have ever seen bunny hop a motorcycle. Can anyone else do that? I don't want to sound like he is god because he isn't to me just another male in the world. But can anyone here actually bunny hop their motorcycle? It's insane.

Nah the mixed emotions is like I'm growing up. Like a year or so ago before I knew anything about motorcycles I was like yea I'm going to wheelie 100 mph and my bike will be stretched chromed and fast. But now it's totally changed because I actually saw what I like. And I like the racer style.
But definitely to each his own. I really did enjoy the show and felt it was worth the $20 to go there.
So if you have the opportunity go out there.

Those are STUNT bikes, not streetfighters.
Unless they were riding something like this
(which I doubt) then dont compare the two.
And in my opinion that bike is FAR from ugly or a waste of a "good" bike. Granted he built it from a burned up TL but still
