Well my STR 70mm throttle body has been working fne up to recently. Not sure wheter it will be grime that wont let it close all the way or what. Opens all the way but when closing seems that theres still a tiny gap left open but enough to make my engine idle. Does anyone have any suggestions on what i can do???

 

i had the same problem

i took it off adn cleaned it out etc. but there was a tiny imperfection in the mold of the throttle body. and i grinded it out and got it repolished and it worked out... hope this helps but i would just take it off and clean it out...

i jsut used carb cleaner.. but i also had acsess to a hot tank machine that was safe to use with the TB. but u should get away with carb / brake cleaner. keep me posted.. im do some resurch to see if there is any thing else out there

70mm? What do you have in there, a 351?

Hopefully something with a lot of boost going into it. Otherwise, it's virtually wasted.

Even with boost, that's pretty big.
