questions about my motor build...
ok fellas im workin on building a motor for my 91 dx hatchback. ive always been into all motor setups but i decided its time for more power and a little bit of forced induction... my goal is to hit around the 500hp range... and i have a few questions. i was leaning towards the b20 turbo until i did some research and found that the cylinder walls are thin and they would need to be resleeved anyway. so i decided to go with a ls block..as far as the block im thinkin about going with a 81-84mm bore not too sure yet. darton sleeves, some sort of block guard, arp head studs, gsr or type r oil pump, not too sure on pistons yet... maybe JE... also will have some machine work done with the crank(micro polish and knife edged) i would like to boost around 25psi... as far as the head, im going to use a ls head. port matched and port and polished. i have heard of vtec cams working pretty well.. is that true? and probabaly a ferrea valve train. with some adjustable cam gears, and a aftermarket intake manifold. probably going with a stock b16 tranny for now and a lightened flywheel, and a 6puck clutch my question for you guys. what pistons would you recomend, what bore you think would be best? i want it to be able to take some abuse yet i want it to be able to be daily driven if needed. im open for input. no flaming or $hit talking please. just some advise would be nice. thanks guys
i forgot to mention im still looking into what turbo will be used... any input on that would be helpful as well.
and i will also be converting to obd1

25 psi whoa expect after two runs bye bye motor. Too much man. Going with a stock b16 you say man this motors are not designed to go 500 hp on stock internals and expect $5000 for the proper parts and tuning and more tuning to not stress the motor. What do you want a daily driver car or a weekend sleeper?

Then quit giving information to others on things you know absolutely nothing about.
You get on here and put out as many posts as you can on bullshit.

ok guys... just wanted some peoples input... this motor will by no means be stock... i plan on taking my time and putting money into it... money depends on the parts and what i want ... which is a fast car that can handle a beating but also be driven... like a car should
