I need to know what the oil temperature on a car . im buying some hose for my oil drain line, but dont know what degrees i need the hose to withstand? do the majority of you guys use stainless steel hoses?
The max oil temp is around 300*.And yes most people use -10 or -12 ss hose.Just make sure what ever you use is oil resistant.
i just use heater hose from autozone, i think im using 5/8's size i dont have any problems. if you did, just replace the hose, is like a dollar a foot

i want to use stainless steel hose but my drain flange is a barbed fitting meaning that its not threaded. the only ss hoses i can find screw on to some kind of thread. I also need a 5/8" diameter hose. does anyone know where i can find a 5/8 stainless steel lines?

theres a picture of my oil drain.

Yeah, the hose might be cheap, but 4/1/2 quarts of oil on the ground instead of in your motor isn't..but somehow I suspect you're not entirely serious anyway..
But I am curious about the oil temp on these motors though. Doesn't anyone have an oil temp guage? I'm also curious about the effect of the piston oil squirters, too.

I was seeing anywhere from 230F-240F taken from the Pan. I have since put on an oil cooler and have yet to break 200F. It has gotten cooler, so I have a feeling with warmer weather I'll see oil temps between 200F and 220F.
I get about 140 on the street, and 200-220 on the road course. I use cheap hose from lowes, and just replace it when i do an oil change. Never had any issues, but when i redo everything, i'm going to use a better method. You won't have any issues unless you totally neglect it. However, there are plenty of other options for the same price
My temps were on a d-series too, i don't have oil squirters, since you were asking about them.
