i have two pushlock/socketless -10 AN fittings and a -10 AN pushlock hose that is rated to 212 degrees. would that be okay to run? im afraid it will melt.... i do have some reflective heat wrap but i was wondering how hot the oil itself would get. would it actually work to prevent any heatsoak to the hose? thanks in advance!

I was under the impression that push lock hose would be fine but if it's only rated for 200 I wouldn't use it. Perhaps you could find some high temp stuff

but something that would seal over a pushlock fitting? you dont think the heat wrap will help?

if it's only rated for 200F, don't use it..... your oil is going to get a lot hotter than that

ive used rubber hose for oil drain b4. u just have to change it every few months. it gets soft after a while.

push loc hose should have a better heat rating then that...my push-loc hose is rated to like 300 psi and close to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. I got it from atp turbo

Really depends on how close it is to anything. Heat wrap is a good idea.

Thats what happens when you use heater hose usually. Or any type of rubber hose that is not meant to contact oil. Petroleum will deteriorate common rubber hoses...it has to be pushlock hose, AN or something made from compatible material.

im using some right now, regular old heater hose from autozone. it does get soft i change it every few months. no problems with it so far


oh, my return line is about 5 inches away from my dumptube itself, and aroound 8 inches from my downpipe
