Does anybody know...
I know of shops that will do it, but they will rape you on price. I'm talking well over $1000-2000. Your best bet is to get a buddy who knows what he's doing. I would help ya out, but my schedule is crazy nowadays.
In all honesty, do it yourself. All you need is basic tools, seriously. Get a set of 1/2 inch drive sockets, a 1/2" breaker bar, a jack and some jackstands. Those are the only real "specialty tools" you need.
The only way you're ever going to know what your doing is to do it yourself. I did my first engine swap with NO previous car experience whatsoever. I just changed my own oil, then did an engine swap.
The only thing I did was READ READ READ. I have accounts on car sites from before I even had my license. It's really not that hard. Especially wiht the internet the way it is these days, you can basically follow a step by step guide, lol.

I would try to do it myself, But I'm just worried about the wiring. And I don't have the proper tools to do it... Mainly a engine mount and something to pull out the current engine with.
EVERYTHING you need to know to do this is on the top of this forum in the FAQ.
Tippy just gave you the plan. Its very simple if you can use hand tools without hurting yourself or others.
You can buy a plug and play wiring kit from http://rywire.com, its that simple.

I was worried about wiring too. It's not as scary as it looks, trust me. If you can cut wires and use butt connectors, you'll be ok.
You don't need an engine stand. Only if you're building a motor do you need one. If you did want one, Harbor freight has them for $35! I got one, it's awesome.
As for pulling the engine, a lot of people do it the ghetto way and jack the car way up, then drop it out the bottom. A lift helps though. Again, harbor freight has them for cheap!

I guess I'll try it myself. It will save me some money too. The only thing that worries me about doing it myself is that I don't have a good place to do it. I live in the city, There is no coverage where I live and it's just soft ground and open sky here.
The way I'd look at it is, with all the money you'd save doing it yourself, you can buy a shitload of tools and equipment, which is always awesome.
I did that. Instead of spending over $1000 to have someone assemble/bore/hone, etc. my motor, I spent $1000 on tools to do it myself.
Plus, if you do it yourself, you get a ton of KNOWLEDGE. Which is always a plus.

^^absolutly. What is the purpose of car forums other than to ***** your car out and learn how to work on it?
Save the money and learn while you work.
WHEN you are in the process and have critical questions, I am always on here to help, just pm me.

Thanks, man. It's nice to see some good people on a forum that are willing to help out someone in need and not flame the hell out of them just because they don't know as much as they do.

You're lucky considering that I haven't been laid in like 3 weeks.
