Default dumb question.. can a car build boost if i jack it up and drive through gears?

it sounds stupid so dont ask but if i put my car on a lift and have the wheels off the ground and go through gears carefully will the car build any boost or does it need to see a load from the ground ??

It will build some boost, just like revving it will, but exactly how much? Not a lot. The engine has to be under load.

****, most turbo Honda's don't need to be up on jackstands to spin the tires and go nowhere.

Yeah it does but you shouldn't do it for tuning just drive the car start off rich and lean it out like every tuner does.

I don't get it. The only thing I can figure is you have a wideband in the shop but not connected in the car?

Ask your mom, dad, sister, grandma, whatever, to help watch the meter while you drive.
