Default IS IT WORTH FIXING UP A 97 HONDA PRELUDE (AUTOMATIC)

HEY GUYS I BOUGHT A WRECKED SALVAGED PRELUDE FOR 800 DOLLARS I ALREADY REPLACED THE READIATOR SUPPORT AND STRAIGHENED OUT THE FRAME...IM STILL WONDERING IF IT WILL BE WORTH IT IN THE END TO FIX IT..LIKE WHAT TYPE OF MODS CAN I DO? SORRY IM A NOOB

I would say it would be worth it as a Daily Driver but as far as modding it.....they are notoriously hard to make fast.
A Honda engine with an auto trans can go forever.....the trans is the weak link.
There are threads about 97-01 Sportshift Auto problems if you look around....

As a dd then what your doing is fine. However if you trying to make a speed machine swap the h22 into another car.

YEA I ACTUALLY DO WANT IT AS A DAILY DRIVER YOU KNOW WORK AND BACK NOT TO SPEED BUT I DO WANT SOME POWER IN CASE I NEED IT YOU KNOW WHTA I MEAN?

Money better spent on another car for speed......

I don't know what you mean!?.....Even intake/header/exhaust on an Auto Prelude will still land it in 16sec territory. Spend the money on maintaining it and have about $1k socked away for a new auto trans.

YES IVE HEARD THE TRANNYS ARE PRETTY BAD ON THESE CARS WELL ATLEAST THE AUTO ONE WELL IM JUST GONNA USE IT AS A WORK CAR AND THEN FIX UP MY TRUCK FOR POWER...

I agree with the 5-spd swap. If you even bother fixing up an automatic, than you have a two inch *****. That's how it is.
