whats the prop on a 91 ex?
whats the prop on a 91 ex?
Only CRX Si's came with rear disc. You need a prop valve that says 40 40 on it. That is the proper one. Any car that has rear drum such as EX Sedan will not work. Integra or CRX Si have the one you are looking for.

just to confirm, you have a civic Si EF hatch right? not a CRX Si.
civic EX 4 doors came with a 3540 prop valve. but they also came with rear drums.
why? i have no idea. does it make sense? NO. its makes absolutely no sense. its got the biggest front brakes of any EF, master cyl and BB, yet rear drums, but its also the heaviest EF car and longer wheelbase. the DX 4dr came with a 3030 with base level brakes all around. the 90-91 CRX with slightly bigger front brakes (than base) and rear disc only came with a 2040.
nothing about the prop valve designations make sense.
all i know is that ppl keep wanting 4040's because they convert to rear disc. so i keep selling them. some have said their car brakes better after switching over. i have not heard a complaint yet from anyone i sold one to.
i highly recommend that you try to emulate the cars complete braking system, instead of mixnmatch and trying to make sense of something senseless.
