Default cold-air intake + new england weather = ????

ok....so i want to get an AEM cold-air intake for my '96 accord lx...but i'm worried about the excessively cold winter weather and the weeks of insane amounts of rain during summer. so my question to all you with CAI in NE is, have any of you had problems? or am i just paranoid and there's nothing to worry about?

I haven't looked at intakes in a while but the piping should be two pieces right? Just remove the lower piece that locates the filter behind the bumper and mount the filter to the upper pipe. That should pretty much make it into a SRI for those months during the year that the weather is less than ideal.
