Default old head unit stolen, help on new install

My pioneer 3400 deck got stolen last night, so i bought a new one, and i cant get it to work. The clock worked ok in the morning (after the night when the ******** stole it), but when i put the new one in the clock stopped working, and the head unit never turned on. Checked fuses, and all wires (I think). Any advice??
TIA
Nate

I realize you said you checked the wiring, but the cause may be the power, ground and remote wire. It might have been pulled or cut somewhere else down the line when they took your deck so you need to check to make sure the wires give proper power.

Take a meter, set it to DC volts, touch the negative to a metal ground surface, and then check each of the wires with the other lead. Power should give 12v with the key out of the ignition, and remote should give 12v only with the key in the ignition in the acessory position.

The clock not working/remembering is a power wire problem, the deck not turning on is a remote wire or combination of wire problem.

Yea, I dont think i plugged the remote wire in....what color is it? On the harness coming out of the stereo there's a blue and white wire with a metal piece on the end of it. It is labeled remote, but theres nowhere to plug it into. Could it possibly be the other blue wire coming out of the honda harness?

TIA

the one coming out of the deck would normally go to an amplifier or a power antenna its not what you want..

there should be a wire coming out of the honda harness labelled remote or started..i'll check the color in a sec

try yellow red, test with meter
