Hey i just picked up a 92 Accord and it seems that the 3rd & Passnger BRAKE lights are out. Ive changed the bulbs and checked the connecters but nothing. when the lights are on the Taillight lights up, but when the brake is pressed the lights dont come on. But the DRIVERs side works? ANY IDEAS ?

 

So the dim light works but not the actual brake light? Could be a sensor?

 

Yes DIM(Running) Light works but no BRAKE Light on the Passenger and 3rd Brake light. But the drivers side is fine............

 

With a bulb sensor involved you need to be sure the bulbs are the correct part number but ultimetly you need to break out the volt meter and see what is going on back there and make sure you have good grounds. Bulb sockets can be corroded and bulb contact **** can be melted a little so that they are not making good contact. Swap bulbs around to test the bulbs and again, you need a volt meter. I would even hotwire things up and create my own ground too but you need to know which wires to play with.

 

yes check the grounds.. they tend to get corroded. also something to check, make sure theres no water in the lights, that can make the bulb burn out
