Turbo Math excel spreadsheet
Here is version 1 of a spreadsheet I made to help design a turbo system, based from the information provided in the book Maximum Boost by Corky Bell.

I don't want to sound mean or anything because you tried to do something good here, but you really can't put exact numbers to a turbo system. How do you compensate for intercooler design? Ho do you know exactly how the engine will flow if you have modiffied it.....more calculations there. Humidity? Temperature of air? Intake temp?
You can calculate it, but you'll never be exact. Forced induction systems have been around for a while and nobdy does this kind of calculating because it's a little trivial. Too many factors. It's simpler and better to look at a flow graph and aim for the sweet spot of the turbo.

What do you mean look at a flow graph and aim for the sweet spot of a turbo?
I know its not precise, but its a lot better than putting a t3 on and wanting 500 HP, or a t60 and wondering why all you get is compressor surge...
WIth the math in that sheet, you can get pretty close to having a good turbo setup. Yea, theres no humidity/altitude compensation, but that could be added easily enough.. But would it matter? Air temps and humidity change daily....
It gets you close, and thats all i was trying to do =]

Here's one that Ryan Smith did for me concerning turbo selection. It was a project for his college class and was based on Maximum boost as well.
