There is a local GSR that was "converted" to an ITR. Everything from the R was put on the GSR. The people who know about it locally said it was a local R that was totalled. But I know the person who originally did the conversion is shady. It is not listed on the ITRCA registry. The person hit a deer and is parting the car out so I asked for the badge number (he is keeping the full swap so I didn't ask for the VIN since he probably doesn't even know it).

Just thought I'd post to see if this is legit or not.

Worth a try to find out. To me that'd be like trying to find a long lost relative.

 

00-0532 was probably a PY for same reasons as I posted in that other thread.

I really don't have any other info. How long ago was this local ITR wrecked?

 

I bought a shell not too long ago that was pheonix yellow out of florida... The o.g owner was a coke head and volentarily stripped his own car. He told me the number was 00-532. Thats wild.

I tracked down the R's last known location. Import Import Salvage. A local guy bought it and restored it, then totalled it. I'll try to find out the VIN of the ITR. The VIN off the engine is: JH4DC231815001801

EDIT: Going from what I have, this car started out in Florida, was parted out by its cokehead owner. Don't know after that, but it ended up at IAS, where the local guy bought it and restored it. Then totalled it. Then it was sold to another local guy who swapped it all over to the GSR, he sold it(GSR) to a local girl. She sold it(GSR) back to him. He sold it(GSR) to another local guy. He sold it(GSR) to the current owner, who had a deer run in front of him the day after getting it(GSR).

Wow, what a story Great job tracking that down. One question though, that VIN is for a 2001 PY ITR that does have a Salvage Title in TN, but the badge is a 2000?

Christie never had a Type R.

 

I bought the 5 lug from a demolished R from Hampton. I think it was an 01...It was PY. I think a rock fell on the roof after it smacked a bank in the twisties.

 

Don't know what year or number, but a PY (I think the one Zane rebuilt) was wrecked by the guy that bought it while he was high on pills. IIRC it was rolled, possibly on US 421.

 

yeah this ones roof was smashed in pretty bad and looked like it been hit almost everywhere
