Default 90 CRX Si, JDM B18cR, Caged, Fresh paint, GC Coils, Rotas, Kevlar bucket, Etc, Etc...........

Hey guys, so heres the new whip. Some of you may have come to this thread from my build thread on my White Eg Hatch (Which I didn't sell and still have the shell in my garage) --> https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1933510. Well Now its time to give a little taste of the build I'm starting on my new rex. I bought it from another H-T member in IL about two months ago and I've made some nice progress so far. The body had its imperfections as the following pics will show, There were some dents, dings, and scratches, and the usual EF clearcoat that was falling off. It was however rust-free for the most part, just some light surface rust in areas, which has all been fixed (right). So i gave it a quick paint job, respraying it Grenada Black pearl. I'll let the pics tell the rest of the story from the day i got it to where it is now. After lookin it over, please feel free to lemme know what you guys think, I am open to all opinions, however i would appreciate withholding any unnecessary flaming, So please feel free to post any suggestions on fututre mods, opinions, and/or ideas. Enjoy.

To Start, here are a few pics of the car and a few of its blemishes:

Didn't take long before i decided to get rid of the ugly-*** pinstripe and the flaking clear coat. Here are a few pics of the sanding.

**Notice the flaky clearcoat on the right side of the roof** Decided to take it down to the original Primer/base

Then it was off to the paint booth so I could give it a quick spray and get it all nice and shiny.

And then it was time for the heart transplant. Decided to keep My JDM 98+ spec typeR B18c from the hatch, including the LSD trans so I had to get the Hasport Cable-to-Hydro conversion mounts. (totally worth it). This is where we got to do the wiring. YAY! . and while i was at it of course i tucked everyhting, relocated the battery, resprayed the engine bay and replaced every nut and bolt with stainless to freshen things up a bit. Heres some of the action.

Cleanly tucking the engin harness tight to the back of the engine.

Wiring diagrams UGH!

Time to slide the motor in there and see how much wire I can cut out!!

Was glad to be where this picture shows Everything in and running!

Then I had to wire-up a GSR cluster real quick to allow me to actually shift on a number that was on the tack.

OK, OK, Now its time for some nice fresh pics of how she looks now with everthing in its place and nice and shiny, Enjoy!

*** Rear window-washer sprayer was shaved during the painting process as well as shown below**

Few close-ups of the paint. (and i still haven't wetsaded and/or buffed the new clearcoat). Enjoy the reflections.

Here are a Few vidoes of the Car as well:

First Video is the first time the car was started and revved after the motor was installed **open header**

The second here is a kinda crappy/decent pull from inside the car. (don't mind the rattle at the beginning, and this was still with stock exhaust).

I'd go even further than that and add a back brace to that non FIA seat.

Black on White = Sex. Cage looks good...any more pics of it?

Very dope car overall, the only thing I think looked a bit off was the wheels, they look a bit big for the car, but overall it's awesome. I'm glad you restored it to the beauty it is meant to be

Sorry to dissapoint lol.
I bought the JDM TypeR swap from H-motors about 3yrs ago, as it has been in 3 different cars now, The K swaps weren't as common then.
