Default EVAP hose in california model yzf600r

So I recently removed my gas tank on my 2000 yahama yzf600r california model. There is a hose that connects to my gas tank that leads to the EVAP system, so my question is can I leave that hose unplugged because I think the connecting piece between the hose and the nozzle of my gas tank went missing.. Based off what I read, that hose is suppose to collect vapor from the gas tank, condense it, then pass it through the air filter, so I guess it's ok to leave it unplugged (I live in florida) without affecting my bike? Can anyone verify?

Well here in California, a lot people remove the EVAP (Evaporative Emissions System) on their bikes and cars. As far as I know, you're bike will run fine without the EVAP system but you may want to look at a vacuum hose diagram to see how disconnecting the hose will affect the bike. Good luck
