Default 3rd gear 95 mph

my dx did 95 in 3rd gear. the book says max speed is like 88 or 89. is my speedo off or does this sound right. would a header, intake, and catback have anything to do with that. because 1st gear maxes out at 33 and 2nd at 61. and those numbers match the book only 3rd gear doest match up. these numbers are when the rev limiter kicks in. just want to know if my speedo is of f. all so real quick my clutch is slipping just got it a year ago can i just replace clutch disc or should i just get another clutch kit. thanks everyone

the speedo measures from the ring gear on the diff which is after the clutch. So your clutch is fine.

Bolt on mods dont affect your gear ratios.

Your speedo might not be off. Maybe the book just has a typo? If it's spot on with all the other gears....iduno maybe your speedo has a small error that magnifies at higher speeds.

With my D16Z6 at 7500 rpm, my dx trans was at like 110 in 3rd lol.

By my calculations, 3rd gear in the DX is 14.6666666666666666... MPH PER 1000RPM. That makes 95.33333333333333333... MPH at 6500 RPM.

You're fine.

no problem.

As for your clutch. Just get an OEM replacement. That's more than enough unless you wanna make more than enough power. EXEDY makes the OEM clutch...and their OEM level and performance clutches are the ****.

Mine took a good 3-4 weeks of break in before it would grab really good.
