the S-tech spring rates arent a whole lot higher than stock so tha shouldnt prove too much of an issue as far as the longevity of your shocks. What I'd be more worried about is the not insignificant drop coupled with the only marginal increase in spring rate. I wouldnt be surprised if you have frequent bottoming issues which can damage and wear out shocks just as fast as excessive spring rate.
It might be slightly bouncy at the outset, getting worse as the shocks wear out.
I would put new shocks as a high priority, high quality replacements such as Koni's or Tokico Illuminas arent that expensive.
Edited cause my spelling sucks

Voyage,
yo thanks alot man. ya i was planning to get the tokico illuminas. I was just thinking if my stock suspension was good enough to hold the springs with reliablity without it being to of a nasty drive. Im saving my money up for them and was just hoping i can just put the springs on. i just want my car to be lowered !!! ahh stock height

i got my 01 dropped on stechs and stock shocks. the company actually reccomends it because they tested on only stock shocks. The ride is not bad but it sure ain't stock either. Either way I'm going with coil overs in the future... S techs just dont give me enough drop for 17 inch rims. (2 finger gap)
