Default Due to heavy interest...and yes I searched....

I did search, but with little success in trying to choose the appropriate words to use.

ANYWAY, has anyone in the US of A imported an R (or any car for that matter) from Canada? I have had a number of people interested in my car, but all are asking me what is involved to bring it over the border. I really dont know what to tell them other than that I assume it would just involve taxes. Anyone with any experience? We have emissions testing here in Ontario, but I dont know if it is compatible with all states regulations.
thanks!

When I was going to bring my Car from Toronto to the US (When I was moving) they said I had to obtain a letter from Honda of Canada stating that said vehicle (VIN will show) is worthy of being owned and operated in the USA. I don't letter costs anything and that's all he would need to get across the sates. When he gets home he'll have to get it registered and emissions tested
