Sound from clutch (not a squeak)
My clutch makes a CLICKING sound when I push it in, and sometimes when I let it out. I really can't describe the sound, but it is not the squeaking sound that most people hear. This is an actual clicking sound. Just wondering what it could be, and how to fix it.
TIA for any advice.

Will do. I figured it was just rubbing a wire or maybe some carpet at first. I tried reaching up at the pedal and there were no wires that I could feel (kind of hard to look up there from inside the car).

my clutch was doing this when i first bought my car... it was the clutch mounting bracket rubbing against the threads of the posts that mount it to the floorboard. the nuts that secure it were loose. at the very least its something to check out.
there is a bracket that holds the clutch pedal to the floor board under the dash. i think its 3 threaded posts that stick out of the floor board, go through matching holes in the bracket, and then there is 3 nuts that secure the clutch pedal bracket to the floor board.
my problem was that the nuts that hold the clutch pedal to the floor board were loose.
