Wrong, it is the HF model that uses the small axels, to the OP you will have to find out which axels are in it. Does it have the HF trans or SI you did not say. The axels match the trans, as far as I can remember if they are orignal the HF ones have a yellow stripe.

this is true. the HFs have smaller hubs than the Si, therefore smaller axles. check the tranny to find out what one you have

Depends which tranny is in the car. If they swapped an Si tranny they would have had to put in the matching hubs. If you cruise at about 3000 rpm going 60mph then you've got an Si tranny and need the Si axles.

STD Civic and HF CRX models use the axles with a smaller outer joint. All other USDM Civics/CRXen use the larger axles.

Wrong. For a D-series transmission with no intermediate shaft, the axles must match the hubs.

No. HF axles plug right into an Si transmission. You need to find out what knuckles/hubs/brakes are on the car - if the car has HF hubs, you need HF axles. If the car has DX/LX/Si hubs, you need DX/LX/Si axles.

No. I have an Si transmission in my STD right now. The STD/HF axles plug right into the Si transmission. No hub swapping is necessary for D-series transmissions with unequal-length axles.

I hope you haven't already bought the wrong axles based on the misinformation given to you by the others in this thread.

i was just about to go buy si axles then. the axles i took out dont look big. they look small like the shaft between the boots. Is that a hf axle then? or should i just take it to the parts store and match it up.
