Make sure you tighten those wheel!!!
"SEATTLE – An Edmonds man was hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after a tire that fell off another car smashed into their car on Interstate 5.
The Washington State Patrol says a late model Acura RSX was traveling in the southbound lanes at NE 139th Street when it lost its tire, which bounced into the northbound lanes. The tire then smashed into Gary and Mandy Ferrel's 1990 Ford Tempo.
"Right straight toward the car," said Mandy Ferrel. "There was nowhere to go."
The tire left smashed the windshield on the driver's side and left a large dent in the roof.
Mandy wasn't hurt, but her husband suffered a concussion.
"After it happened, I looked over at my husband and he wasn't responding. He was kinda moaning and his eyes were staring off," said Mandy.
It's not clear yet what punishment the driver of the Acura that lost the tire may face.
Since May, there have been at least four cases of cars being hit by flying wheels on Puget Sound area freeways. "
