I'm trying to install a new head unit in my CRX and i connected everything except the RED wire on the harness since I can't find the yellow/red wire. There are 2 oem wires left over: red/black and white/green. Any ideas??

yeah i already check that but i don't know where on the aftermarket harness to connect the red/black wire and i can't find the yellow/red power wire on my oem harness...i only have a white/green one and don't know what it does.

 

Did you meter it out??

I'm assuming that the factory harness plug has been cut off?

 

you think i can just leave the illumination out and connect the aftermarket red wire to the yellow/red wire from the lighter??

 

yes the factory harness was cut, but the head unit in it before was working fine.
